Chateau de la Mirande, Picpoul de Pinet 2022

With the first vine plantings taking place as far back as 1850, Chateau de la Mirande is one of Pinet's most storied Chateaux. It takes its name for the French word for watchtower, "Mirador", due to the Chateau's hilltop views over the Mediterranean Sea to the south and Saint Clair Mountains to the west. Their Picpoul de Pinet 2022 is a deliciously understated wine; aromas of zingy apple, lemon zest and pear give way to a minerally savouriness on the palate with flavours of white flowers and honey. A really thirst quenching wine and a perfect accompaniment to a Friday night fish & chips.
